The initial stage of the project named "Stone Wonder of Ukraine" was chosen due to the specialties of the first students whose hearts vibrated to the call and who thereafter put a lot of energy russian school, knowledge and desire to implement the conceived ideas. They were Yvonne Oeser (Germany, specialty "Mass Media"), Stefan Kurzmann (Germany, specialty "Geology") and Katarzhina Wasko (Poland, specialty "Mass Media"). We would like to express our special cordial thanks to Alexander Ponomarenko, the Assistant Director of the "Geochemistry, Mineralogy and Ore-formation Institute of the Ukrainian Academy of Science". His cooperation and help in implementing the project let the students cover hundreds of kilometers across the country. The trainees visited the pits and mines of semi-precious stone deposits, attended geological museums. More than 8 hours of the cinefilm appeared to be the result of the hard work, which later was turned into an exciting informative and laconic 12-minute film about the "Stone Wonder" of Ukraine. And the success should be accounted on the professionalism and creative approach to the matter of the main participant of the project, Yvonne Oeser. Putting the project into practice we tried to write a touching novel about the Stone, as the whole human civilization is, someway or other, connected with this unique natural wonder. Let's remember the distant Stone Age, the eternal pyramids in Egypt and South America, the mysterious Stonehendge in Great Britain, the pink stone town of Petra in Jordan, the giant Moon and Sun Temple "Teotiuakan" in Mexico, enigmatic stone castles, sophisticated jewelry, architecture monuments which eternized historical events and great people, curative crystals, used in medicine…. All of them are the praiseful odes to the stone.
